Air Plant Fertilizer FAQs
Fertilize air plants once per week for best results. Weekly feeding supports healthy hydration, richer color, and strong pup development. If your home is especially dry or your plants are in a blooming cycle, you can safely use the spray more frequently since Tillandsia respond well to gentle, consistent foliar feeding.
Both products use the same nutrient-rich formula designed specifically for Tillandsia and other epiphytes. The Air Plant Soak provides deep hydration and weekly feeding during your regular soak routine. The Air Plant Fertilizer Spray offers quick foliar feeding that you can use weekly or in between soaks to support color, hydration, and overall vigor. Many plant owners use the soak for weekly nutrition and the spray for added support throughout the week.
Add ½ dropperful of the concentrated soak to one quart of clean water, then submerge your air plants for 5 to 10 minutes. After soaking, let the plants dry upside down to prevent water from collecting at the base. This routine offers balanced hydration and supports pup production and fuller, more colorful growth.
Your bottle arrives empty on purpose. Inside, you will find two concentrated refill packets for TWO full bottles of fertilizer. Simply pour one packet into the bottle, fill it with water, shake gently, and your spray is ready to use. We also offer concentrated refill packs (sold separately). Each refill packet makes 50 bottles, saving you cost and reducing waste.
These formulas are designed for all air plants, Tillandsia, and epiphytes. They are also excellent for bromeliads, terrarium-friendly species, and staghorn ferns, which absorb moisture and nutrients through their foliage. You can use the spray as a gentle foliar feed for humidity-loving houseplants, too.
